V. Erasure of personal data

CLAAS processes and stores personal data about data subjects only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is being stored, or in the event that this is provided for in legislation or regulations by the European regulator or other legislator under whose jurisdiction the controller lies. If the purpose of storage no longer applies or a storage period prescribed by the European regulator or other competent legislator expires, the personal data is, routinely and in accordance with the statutory requirements, either erased or processing thereof is restricted.

VI. Voluntary provision of personal data
If you provide us with data voluntarily, e.g. using forms, and we do not require it to fulfil our contractual obligations, we shall process this data on the assumption that processing and using this data is in your interests.

VII. Storage of your personal data
Your data is stored by CLAAS on specially protected servers. These servers are protected by technical and organisational measures against loss, destruction, access, change or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons. Your stored data can only be accessed by a few authorised persons. These persons are responsible for providing technical, commercial or editorial support for the servers. In spite of regular checks, total protection against all dangers is not possible.
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and any data you enter on the CLAAS website are transmitted via the Internet without encryption. It cannot therefore be ruled out that third parties may read and/or access the transmitted data. CLAAS recommends that you take account of this aspect when deciding whether and what data you transmit via the Internet.

VIII. Recipients of the data/forwarding of data
Unless otherwise stated, the data you provide us with is not passed on to third parties. In particular, your data is not passed on to third parties for marketing purposes.
As the circumstances require, however, CLAAS may employ service providers to operate these web pages or other CLAAS products, which means that it may be possible for a service provider to gain knowledge of your personal data. We choose our service providers carefully – in particular with regard to data protection and data security – and take all the data protection measures necessary to ensure that data is processed lawfully.

IX. Transfer of data to a third country or to international organisations
Data is not transferred to third countries (countries outside the European Economic Area – EAA).

X. Cookies
When you access the CLAAS website, general information is collected automatically (e.g. web browser used, number of visits, average length of visit, accessed pages, downloads). This information is used to improve the attractiveness, content and functionality of the Website. In particular, this data can be recorded and evaluated for statistical purposes.
CLAAS also uses cookies on its Website. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer via your web browser. Cookies are often used to make a website more user-friendly and more effective. CLAAS uses so-called "session cookies" which are erased when you end your browser session. It also uses some persistent cookies through which CLAAS can recognise you as a returning visitor.
Most web browsers are set in such a way that they automatically accept cookies. However, you may deactivate storage of cookies or set your web browser in such a way that it informs you as soon as cookies are sent.
User data is analysed on the basis of Article 6(1f) GDPR.

XI. AWStats
We use AWStats, a free analysis software program (https://awstats.sourceforge.io), to generate statistics about our Website. AWStats is used to analyse log files that web servers create on the basis of visitors' queries. The program does not use cookie files to perform its analyses. The statistical analysis makes use of the log files that also contain IP addresses. This data cannot usually be assigned to specific persons. This data will not be merged with other sources of data and will also be deleted after a statistical analysis.
Our website server is located in Germany, which means that data is not transferred outside of Germany.
The legal basis for us using AWStats is Article 6(1f) GDPR. Our "interest" lies in improving our offerings and optimising the Website.

XII. Monotype web fonts
To ensure that fonts are displayed uniformly, the Website uses fonts provided by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc., 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801, USA. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to correctly display text and fonts. The browser you are using must connect to the Monotype servers in order to do this. This will enable Monotype to see that our Website was accessed from your IP address. We use Monotype fonts in the interests of displaying our online services in a uniform and appealing way. This constitutes a legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1f) GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, one of your computer's standard fonts will be used.
You can find more information about Monotype fonts at https://www.monotype.com/legal/terms-of-use/ and in Monotype's privacy policy: https://www.monotype.com/legal/privacy-policy/.

XIII. Links to other websites
The Website may contain links to websites operated by other providers to whom this Privacy Policy does not extend. If you leave the Website, we recommend carefully reading the privacy policies of any linked websites that collect personal data. The Website contains links to the CLAAS Group fan page on Facebook and the CLAAS YouTube channel, for example. Unlike the social plugin, this link does not transfer any data to the social network operator. When you call up the relevant link, the CLAAS Group fan page on Facebook or the CLAAS YouTube channel opens in a new window instead.

XIV. Rights of data subjects
You have the right to access your data (Article 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR) and the right to object (Article 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 German Federal Data Protection Act). You have right to access data stored about you, the right to data portability, the right to have your data rectified or erased, and the right to restrict processing of your data.
The contact person for the above-mentioned rights is otherwise the CLAAS Data Protection Officer.

XV. Consent
If CLAAS is processing your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of any processing that has already taken place prior to you withdrawing your consent.

XVI. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will revise this Privacy Policy if amendments are made to the Website or in any other event that makes revision necessary.
